On December 4, 2024, BAI’s Mario Joseph and IJDH’s Brian Concannon, joined by Jemima Pierre, participated in a webinar of Haiti experts as part of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Festival. On a panel moderated by Siobhán Wills, Director of the Transitional Justice Institute at Ulster University, speakers explored the long- and near-term roots of Haiti’s crisis and what the international community can and should be doing differently to stand in solidarity with Haitians trying to reclaim their country and foster a transition towards stable and prosperous future.
