BAI Managing Attorney Mario Joseph speaks about the report “Killing with Impunity: State-Sanctioned Massacres in Haiti,” co-authored by the International Human Rights Clinic (IHRC) at Harvard Law School and the Observatoire Haïtien des crimes contre l’humanité (Observatory on Crimes against Humanity in Haiti) (OHCCH), of which the BAI is a founding member. “During the four years of the presidency of Jovenel Moïse, human rights observers have documented at least ten brutal attacks carried out in disadvantaged neighborhoods of the capital. Three particularly serious attacks – at La Saline, in the popular district of Bel-Air and at Cité Soleil are particularly well-documented,” Le Nouvelliste quotes from the report. According to Joseph, at least 240 people were killed during the attacks.
