Internships
Internships with IJDH are unpaid but will provide students significant training and experience. IJDH will also work with students who elect to obtain academic credit. Both part-time and full-time internships are available. Part-time interns commit to a minimum schedule of 15 hrs. per week.
Immediate Opening for Volunteer Coordinator Intern (Spring 2012): More About Position(PDF)
This is an unpaid position but will provide an experienced human resources professional with an opportunity to donate expertise and grow this position within our organization. This position also offers interns significant training in nonprofit volunteer coordination. We are able to work with students to obtain school credit, if available.
An experienced volunteer must commit to working a minimum of 30 hours/week and may enjoy a flexible schedule and work remotely and in the office for 1–2 days per week. Interns should plan to work in the office for a minimum of 15 hours/week. A minimum of 3 months is required with the possibility of extension.
Immediate Opening for Social Media Intern (Spring 2012): More About Position (PDF)
The position is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate student interested in global human rights advocacy and nonprofit online media. Must be a strong writer and be familiar with social media. Strong preference for a full-time candidate willing to commit to more than 3 months.

Pro Bono Opportunities
- Lawyer’ Earthquake Response Network (LERN): IJDH established LERN — a national network of lawyers, law professors and law students — to form a legal response to the earthquakes in Haiti based on human rights principles to mitigate Haiti’s vulnerability to the next earthquake, hurricane or other stress.
- Lawyers’ Committee for Justice in Haiti (LCJH): If you are a lawyer and interested in working on pro bono projects promoting the rule of law in Haiti and justice for Hait’s poor, consider joining the LCJH here.
