Temporary Protected Status Extended - Press Release
IJDH is excited to convey a major victory: the Administration's announcement this morning redesignating Haiti for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which will permit an additional about 309,000 Haitians to apply for the protections which Haitians who currently have TPS already enjoy.
IJDH worked intensely for months to achieve this goal, proactively coordinating with local and national community allies, soliciting organizational and political support, suggesting and writing opinion pieces, and broadly disseminating support items.
